College reseaRch/forensic sciences
For my fourth project I decided to split Art and English and do unrelated projects for each one. Since college for me is right around the corner I took this opportunity to write some of my college application essays, and get feedback. I wanted to make sure I was writing the best possible essays and was getting the best help in doing so. For art I decided to delve into forensic sciences. I have always been interested in crime scene investigation and the science that goes into it, so I took this project used my time to create my own vision of how a crime scene investigators desk might look like.
English
For my English project I decided to take this opportunity to write my college essays, and get help editing them from Mr. Ward. I used synthesis in this project by first doing lots of research on tips for writing college essays, and examples of college essays. I then took parts of the college essays that I liked the most and complied them together to try and incorporate them into my writing as much as I could. I also took lots of the tips from these websites and used them when writing my drafts.
Art
For art I decided to take a look into the world of forensic science. I first did research on lots of different types of sciences that fall under the branch of forensic science, like ballistics, blood splatter analysis, and DNA analysis. I then took a look at some real cases that used forensic science to solve them. I used synthesis in my project by combining all of the research I found on forensic science, and the cases I found that use forensics to create a collage. The collage is meant to show all of the chaos and different turns that can be taken in crime scene investigation. It also shows all of the forensic evidence that can be found at just one crime scene.
